The spaces inside it

The whole property is what’s sold — the main house, the guesthouse and Dragonfly together, for one party at a time. Bookings are for up to three guests; for a larger group, get in touch and ask.

  • The main house

Beamed ceilings, a pellet stove, a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the sitting room. Warm and low-lit at night; cool stone keeps it comfortable through the summer.

One proper bedroom — the sofa bed suits a couple of children or a third adult, not a second family.

  • The guesthouse

A separate timber cabin, a short walk across the deck. Its own door, its own quiet — good for a couple travelling with friends, or for grandparents.

A comfortable double, not a self-contained apartment. It has a dry toilet, not a flushing one — straightforward once you have used it, and better to know before you book than after.

  • Dragonfly

The glass garden room, beside the pool. A desk and wifi for a working day, a TV, sound system and Xbox once the day is done.

An outdoor living room with a pull-out sofa bed, if your group needs the extra space.

What’s here

The pool, the sauna, the barbecue and dining area, and the deck are shared between the two houses.

  • The pool

A 7.3-metre pool, open all year but not heated — the cold water is the other half of the sauna.

Open, not fenced — lovely for adults and older children; watch little ones closely.

  • The sauna

Wood-fired, and the reason the house feels Finnish. Its own cabin at the top of the property, paired with the pool below it all year round.

Built for two to four people at a time, not a crowd.

A wood-fired sauna takes some knowing, so unless you grew up with one we light it and run it for you. Either way it is arranged in advance and carries a charge, set out in the booking terms: less if you run it yourself, more if we run it for you. Tell us when you book and it will be ready when you want it.

  • The outdoor dining and barbecue area

A covered cook-and-dine terrace off the deck. A Weber grill, long table, and enough shade to eat outside from breakfast to the last glass of Priorat.

Alfresco cooking; the indoor kitchen is compact.

  • Morfi and Tiku

Two resident cats come with the property whichever configuration you book — they live outside and treat the whole place as home, not one house over the other.

Feeding them is welcome and entirely optional — they have people looking after them, so nothing depends on you. Tell us before you book if anyone in your group is allergic; animals are kept out of the guesthouse.

Before you book

The property is spread across three levels — about 9 metres of elevation in total — so steps outdoors are part of getting around, not just getting to the sauna. The sauna is the steepest part of it: it’s up outdoor stone steps whichever house you book. If steps are hard for anyone in your group, you may find parts of the property hard to reach.
